Father's Day Beer Mug card

I'm finally getting around to posting the Father's Day cards I sent out last week. That's right it only took me one week to post. That is quite an improvement. I'm very proud of myself : )

I made one card in spanish for my PaPa. I love how the UTEE made the mug look so frosty and cold. There's a close-up below.

Thanks for looking,
Diana

Supplies: SU cardstock, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Octagon Nestabilities, corner rounder punch, Mug: Word clip art, Ranger UTEE, liquid applique, dimensionals, brads, grommets and yarn

Blog Awards

Thanks, Amy, for nominating my blog for this award! Amy is a member of the Chirper Challenge design team along with myself and a few other talented ladies. Amy is super creative so check out her blog for some inspiration.

I received this award quite a while ago I'm ashamed to say and just got around to posting my thanks.

The requirements to accepting the Honest Scrap Award are as follows.

A) I must thank the person who gave me the award and list their blog and link…
B) I must list 10 honest things about myself.
C) I must put a copy of the The Honest Scrap logo on my blog.
D) I must select at least 7 other worthy bloggers and list their links.

So without further ado, let's begin.

Thank You Bird Scrap aka Amy!!!! It's my first blog award and I don't know if you can tell but I'm super excited!!!! (count the exclamation marks if you don't believe me).

10 Honest things about myself:
1) I LUV coffee. I don't think I can go a day without it.

2) I love rainy days. Weird right? There's just something about a rainy day that makes me feel so warm inside and blessed.

3) I'm obsessed with buying scrapbooking supplies. It's a sickness.... for which I don't want a cure.

4) I enjoy living on my on right now. It's really peaceful and I can stay in my pj's all day : )

5) I adore my family, in particular my niece and nephews. They really bring joy to my life.

6) I love to cook but I'm not good at it. How's that for honesty!

7) I have dreams that I have not fulfilled but am optimistic that I will one day achieve them.

8) I hate my grays. Okay maybe hate is a strong word, let's go with "a deep dislike".

9) When I'm having a bad day I always think that there is someone else that is going through worse and it makes me feel guilty.

10) This is my favorite quote and I honestly feel like shouting it out sometimes:
~ I am aware that I am less than some people prefer me to be ... but most people are unaware that I am so much more than what they see ... ~

And now for the 7 worthy bloggers list. It's hard to just pick 7 when there are so many talented people but here goes:

You're getting old Dawg!

I made this card for my brother's birthday. He is a marine and always calls other guys "dawg", "what's up dawg!" LOL.... I think it's a marine thing : ) so of course, as I was searching my stash for inspiration, I came across this set of dog stamps from Inkadinkadoo and a great sentiment popped into my head. The rest as they say is history!

Thanks for looking!

Queen of the Castle: Mother's Day Cards

This is a late post of my Mother's Day cards this year. I really love the combination of pink and black lately and used the color scheme on these cards. The crown cards where for friends and family but I did make a different card for my mother as I know she loves flowers.

The inside sentiment for the crown card was:

CASTLE
Which includes but is not limited to: cleaning, laundry, shopping, errand running, babysitting, cooking, etc. etc...
